TANSTAAFL

"There ain't no such thing as a free lunch." When I think about this saying, I wonder, does this apply to the love my kids have for me? I mean, if the price I pay is changing diapers, making/delivering them short order food, cleaning, bathing, worrying, among many others, in order to consistently gain their trust, respect, and affection, then I guess it holds true? I think what this means is that there is always something to sacrifice for another. However, and call me cheesy, but when it comes to my kids I feel honored that they let me do things for them. Maybe it's for the more physical and tangible things this applies to. I wonder, what are your biggest sacrifices in life in favor of your "lunch"? Just a thought.

JAMES TUPPER WITH HIS HOMIES

Two things I wanted to do today: use the word "homies." Done. And the other, show you one of my favorite families' cover photo in the new issue of BC.
James Tupper and his boys
James Tupper and his kids (with actress Anne Heche, who is also salt of the earth) are absolutely adorable in our coming issue. Check out bc-mag.com to view the BC blog, and to see back issues online, just click on the covers on the right of the page.
